Seattle Under Thick Clouds has been collected by the libraries of several research universities on the East and West Coasts of the United States as a primary source on the Chinese immigrant experience and urban memory, for academic research and teaching. Its stories touch on family relationships, everyday life, children, friendship, workplace politics, university life, start-ups, and even encounters with the university administration after getting into trouble.
